New Titles in Project Muse (07 . 03 . 2012)

The Journal of Assessment and Institutional Effectiveness, previously announced as joining Project MUSE, is now online. The journal publishes research on the assessment of student learning at the course, programme, institutional, and multi-institutional levels as well as more broadly focused scholarship on institutional effectiveness in relation to mission and merging directions in higher education assessment. JAIE is a publication of the New England Educational Assessment Network.
Interdisciplinary journals


During 2012, MUSE will add 45 titles to the journals collections. The new journals will focus on a range of subjects such as:

  • cultural studies and politics and policy studies
  • literature and philosophy
  • medieval and renaissance studies and literature
  • french studies and women's studies
  • philosophy and religion

All titles will be added to the Premium Collection. Several of the new titles and current titles have been added to the other five collections. The complete list of new titles for 2012, and the additions by collection, are available on the MUSE website.
Complete runs


MUSE added another batch of journal back issues in January and three more journals now have their complete run in MUSE:

  • Children's Literature Association Quarterly (complete run)
  • Civil War History
  • Historically Speaking (complete run)
  • Jewish Quarterly Review
  • Latin American Theatre Review
  • Southern Cultures (complete run)

A list of journals that have added back issues and those scheduled to add back issues in the future is available.
