New Library Added to HeinOnline (18 . 12 . 2012)

Early American Case Law is now available as part of HeinOnline. The initial release of this new library includes 7 robust titles related to early American case law. Most notable are the following:

  • Federal Cases - Comprising Cases Argued and Determined in the Circuit and District Courts of the United States from the Earliest Times to the Beginning of the Federal Reporter, Arranged Alphabetically by the Titles of the Cases, and Numbered Consecutively (1894-1897) - This 30-book set includes more than 20,000 cases from 1789-1880 arranged in alphabetical order by case name. The entire set has been fully indexed, making it fully searchable.
  • Trinity Series
    • American Decisions - Cases of General Value and Authority Decided in the Courts of Several States, 100 volumes (1910-1911). 15,800 cases decided by various state courts from 1760 to 1869
    • American Reports - Containing All Decisions of General Interest Decided in the Courts of Last Resort of the Several States, 60 volumes (1912). 9,300 cases decided by various state courts from 1870-1887
    • American State Reports - Containing the Cases of General Value and Authority Subsequent to Those Contained in the American Decisions and the American Reports Decided in the Courts of Last Resort of the Several States, 140 volumes (1888-1911). 20,500 cases decided by the state courts from 1888 to 1911.

The following titles are also included:

  • Mining Reports (1883-1906)
  • Abbott's National Digest: A Digest of the Reports of the United States Courts (1884-1889)
  • American Leading Cases: Being Select Decisions of American Courts, in Several Departments of Law; with Especial Reference to Mercantile Law (3d ed., enl.) (1852)
