LexisNexis increases Irish coverage (22 . 01 . 2010)

LexisNexis increases Irish coverage with additional web content

LexisNexis, a provider of information and business solutions, has entered an agreement with RTE, Ireland's national television and radio broadcaster, to increase web content covering Ireland to the Nexis research services

By IWR News Desk, Information World Review 19 Jan 2010 The additional content will be available globally through both Nexis and the new NexisDirect service, the information provider said.

RTE will provide LexisNexis with access to web content covering major news stories and comment from across Ireland. The agreement is aimed at further strengthening the LexisNexis' database content and coverage of Ireland, and is bolstered by a number of local news titles licensed last year from Johnston Press.

Bob De Laney, news and business director at LexisNexis, said: "This new content provides our customers with extra insight from across Ireland. Whether used for business development, competitor tracking or for monitoring media coverage, this intelligence helps our customers better understand trends in the Irish market, enabling them to make better business decisions."

RTE's content on LexisNexis resources, is in addition to the local newspapers added from Johnston Press in 2009. These sources include Donegal Democrat, Donegal on Sunday, Dundalk Democrat, Kilkenny People, Leinster Express, Leinster Leader, Leitrim Observer, Limerick Leader, Longford Leader, Nationalist and Munster Advertiser.
