  • EMBASE

    EMBASE is a biomedical and pharmacological database which gives you access to the most up-to-date information about medical and drug-related subjects. EMBASE contains over 11 million records from 1974 to present, with over 500,000 citations and abstracts added annually. These records reflect all current developments in biomedical and drug-related fields. Comprehensive inclusion of drug-related information makes EMBASE particularly valuable. EMBASE is the database of choice when carrying out drug-related searches. With live links to full content on Science Direct.

  • Emerald Management 175 and Engineering Journals

    Emerald Management 175 combines the Emerald Fulltext database with Emerald Management Reviews through an integrated search and navigation system, providing access to 170 authoritative management titles, 76% of which are peer-reviewed.

    IReL also has access to the Emerald Engineering eJournal Collection which gives online access to the full text of all 23 journals (4 of which are common to Em. Management 175 ) within Emerald's engineering, materials science and technology portfolio.

    ERIC International consists of the Australian Education Index (AUEI) covering 1977 to present

  • FACTfinder CANCELLED (end of 2011)

    FACTfinder is an online information retrieval system with two sources; FACTfinder Business and FACTfinder Social Sciences. It allows searching of more than 2.5m articles going back for many years. This resource is no longer subscribed by IReL. Please check your library's catalogue for local holdings.

  • Film Index International

    Film Index International runs from the first silent film in 1900 to the latest blockbuster in 2006 with reference to 120,000 films and selected journal citations. The IReL licence now also includes access to: Film Indexes Online (FIO), American Film Institute Catalog (AFI) and FIAF full text plus.

    HeinOnline is the world's largest image-based legal research database. HeinOnline content spans multiple library collections, and subscribers in more than 150 countries enjoy online access to tens of millions of pages of research material that in many instances is only available online in HeinOnline.

  • Historical Abstracts

    Historical Abstracts is an exceptional resource that covers the history of the world (excluding the United States and Canada) from 1450 to the present, including world history, military history, women's history, history of education, and more - essential for libraries supporting upper-division and graduate research.

  • IEA Statistics - CANCELLED (2009)

    The International Energy Agency (IEA) acts as energy policy advisor to 27 member countries in their effort to ensure reliable, affordable and clean energy for their citizens. Founded during the oil crisis of 1973-74, the IEA's initial role was to co-ordinate measures in times of oil supply emergencies. As energy markets have changed, so has the IEA. Its mandate has broadened to incorporate the "Three E's" of balanced energy policy making: energy security, economic development and environmental protection.
