  • OECD iLibrary (CANCELLED END OF 2014)

    OECD iLibrary (formerly SourceOECD) contains all the publications and datasets released by OECD (Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development), International Energy Agency (IEA), Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA), OECD Development Centre, PISA (Programme for International Student Assessment), and International Transport Forum (ITF) since 1998. Currently (October 2012): 8,100 ebook titles; 28,000 chapters; 30,000 tables and graphs; 2,800 articles; 3,100 multilingual summaries; 3,600 working papers; 1,200 key tables; and 5 billion data points across 40 databases. This resource is no longer subscribed by IReL. Please check your library catalogue for local holdings.

  • Optics Infobase

    Provides fulltext access to the journals of the Optical Society of America. Timespan: 1917 onwards.

  • Oxford Dictionary of National Biography

    It is a collection of 55,000 specially written biographies, which describe the lives of people who shaped the history of the British Isles and beyond.

  • Oxford English Dictionary

    The Oxford English Dictionary is the accepted authority on the evolution of the English language over the last millennium. It is an unsurpassed guide to the meaning, history, and pronunciation of over half a million words, both present and past. It traces the usage of words through 2.5 million quotations from a wide range of international English language sources, from classic literature and specialist periodicals to film scripts and cookery books.

  • Oxford Grove Art Online

    Grove Art Online is a scholarly art encyclopedia covering all aspects of Western and non-Western visual art. It includes the full text of The Dictionary of Art, edited by Jane Turner (1996, 34 volumes) - the landmark reference work containing more than 45,000 articles (more than 21,000 biographies and 500,000 bibliographical citations) contributed by 6,700 scholars from 120 countries.

  • Oxford Journals Online Collection

    The Oxford Journals Online Collection consists of online journals from arts, social science, scientific, technical, medical, professional and humanities disciplines.

  • Oxford Music Online

    Grove Music Online has been the leading online resource for music research since its inception in 2001. Now the cornerstone of Oxford Music Online, a subscription to Grove Music Online also includes The Oxford Companion to Music, and The Oxford Dictionary of Music. Grove Music Online articles also feature biographical linking to the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography for mutual subscribers to both, and a host of tools and resources, including timelines and topical guides. The Encyclopedia of Popular Music is now also included in the IReL subscription.

    Oxford Reference Online brings together language and subject reference works from one of the world's biggest reference publishers into a single cross-searchable resource.
    The Premium Collection offers over 175 fully-indexed, cross-searchable dictionary, language reference, and subject reference works published by Oxford University Press, including detailed information across a broad subject range from titles in the world-renowned Oxford Companions Series.
