  • Scientific World Journal

    The Scientific World Journal (TSWJ) is a peer-reviewed, open access journal covering a wide range of subjects in science, technology, and medicine. TSWJ was launched in 2001 as an innovative way to gather, publish and organize scientific and medical information. The journal's content is divided into about 98 subject areas that are covered within the journal's scope.

    From 2011 this resource became Open Access.

  • SciFinder Scholar

    SciFinder Scholar is a point-and-click desktop research tool that provides easy access to the information in the CAS databases. Students and faculty staff can explore a comprehensive and current collection of published scientific research, taken from 9,500 journal titles and 50 active patent-issuing authorities, through a variety of ways - by author or organisation names, research topics, substance identifiers, chemical structures and reactions - as well as by linking to full-text journals and patents on the web and in-house library holdings.

  • SIAM Journals CANCELLED (end of 2011)

    From the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics, SIAM Journals Online includes the full text to all articles in the 15 SIAM journals from 1997 to the present. This resource is no longer subscribed by IReL. Please check your library's catalogue for local holdings.

  • SPIE Digital Library - CANCELLED (end of 2009)

    The SPIE Digital Library is the most extensive resource available on optics and photonics, providing unprecedented access to more than 230,000 technical papers from SPIE Journals and Conference Proceedings from 1990 to the present. More than 17,000 new technical papers are added annually. This resource is no longer available through IReL. Please check your library's catalogue for local holdings.

  • SpringerLink

    The premier electronic data source from Springer for researchers in biomedicine, life science, clinical medicine, physics, engineering, mathematics, computer science, humanities, and economics. Now also contains all former Kluwer Academic journals but does NOT contain titles from Brill Academic Publisher).
